Currumbin Surf Club

After a long day of touring and zip lining at the sanctuary, we decided to walk down to the beach to have dinner on the ocean.  A classmate recommended we try the local surf club, he promised me it had an amazing view. He wasn’t lying, thanks Jeff!

The club is on the ocean, not the beach. The building is on top of an outcrop of rocks that is just off the beach. I was told during high tides the car park gets flooded, and if you search youtube you’ll find a video of a car that was swept out to sea. It turned out to be a great dinner. The food and atmosphere was fantastic, the beer was cold, and we had an amazing view. What more could you ask for?

Before we sat down to eat we hiked up a very narrow and steep staircase to the top of Elephant Rock Lookout. We took some photos and a quick video (which you will find below). Keep in mind this was a particularly overcast winter day here on the Gold Coast…. “winter” hah!
